Nsedu Obot Witherspoon (NOW) Youth Leadership Award 


The NOW  Youth Leadership Award was created as part of the Children’s Environmental Health Network’s 20th anniversary celebration in 2012, in honor of Executive Director Nsedu Obot Witherspoon.This award honors a young person (ages 10-21 at the time of the nomination) who has demonstrated exceptional environmental health leadership--efforts to protect human health, especially of our most vulnerable populations, through actions including: raising awareness of, advocacy for, and outreach around safer, healthier environments across places.  

To nominate a young leader, complete the nomination form (link below) by February 29, 2024. Submissions must come from non-family members. CEHN encourages submissions of nominees that are involved in and committed to environmental health, participate in community action, and have strong leadership skills.
