It’s based on the idea that\, together\, we can create a healthier\, safer\, more equitable world for all children—where fewer children suffer from preventable health issues. \nFocused on action and equity\, the goal of CEH Day is to collectively increase the visibility of children’s environmental health issues while empowering individuals and organizations to take action on behalf of children nationwide. Protect Children’s Health.\nJoin us for the twentieth Annual Children’s Environmental Health Awards Celebration and the tenth annual Children’s Environmental Health Day! \nThis evening is dedicated to honoring extraordinary leaders who are advancing science\, policy\, advocacy\, and creativity to ensure all children can grow up in safe and healthy environments. We’ll come together to recognize inspiring champions\, uplift youth voices\, and strengthen connections across generations and build our children’s environmental health community. \nWhat: \nThis festive and high-energy event is open to all members of the children’s environmental health community. Join us for: \n\nNetworking\, cocktails\, and a buffet dinner featuring seasonal fare\nInspiring award presentations and remarks\nCollaborative and interactive art project reflecting on the past decades of the children’s environmental health movement\nMusic\, dancing and celebration to close the night\n\nTogether\, we’ll honor the vision\, courage\, and dedication of this year’s leaders — and leave re-energized to continue building a healthier\, more just future for all children. \nWhen:\nThis event is a part of the broader commemoration of Children’s Environmental Health Day\, on October 9th. The event will begin at 6 pm and we’ll say farewells at 9 pm. \nWhere:\nWe’re delighted to host this year’s celebration at Woodend Sanctuary and Mansion in Chevy Chase\, MD\, a 40-acre nature sanctuary dedicated to conservation and education.
