External Relations and Creative Manager

Hannah Wilkerson, MS is the External Relations & Creative Manager at the Children’s Environmental Health Network, where she has worked since 2020. In her role, she helps shape CEHN’s outreach, communications and engagement efforts while supporting a wide range of organizational initiatives, programs, and operations. Her work spans digital communications, events, partnership cultivation, internship coordination, and collaborative initiatives  including the Cancer Free Economy Network, the American Public Health Association Children’s Environmental Health Committee, the National Environmental Network, and the National Radon Action Plan Leadership Council.

Ms. Wilkerson earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from Gettysburg College and later completed her Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications at West Virginia University. Before joining CEHN, she worked in regenerative farming, food systems, and food access across both nonprofit organizations and private companies, with a focus on food sovereignty, sustainability, and community. Her previous work has included supporting regional food systems through outreach and marketing roles with farms, local food collectives,  systems-change networks, and nonprofits.

Originally from North Carolina, Ms. Wilkerson is now based in the Alleghany Highlands of Virginia, where she is active in her local arts and outdoor community, volunteering with the Alleghany Highlands Arts & Crafts Center and serving on her town’s Parks & Trails committee. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, making art, reading, and exploring her area’s beautiful public green- and blueways.  She is passionate about cultivating stronger, healthier, and more connected communities — both through her professional work and in her everyday life.
