Over 22 Proclamations Granted in Support for Children’s Environmental Health
As of today, October 9th 2025, there have successfully been over 22 proclamations issued by city Mayors, County Commissioners, and state Governors that demonstrate a robust commitment to prioritizing children’s environmental health.
Today is the tenth anniversary of Children’s Environmental Health (CEH) Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of clean air and water, safe food and consumer products, and healthy environments to children’s health and development. It provides a platform to encourage actions that promote child wellness, celebrate progress in the protection of children’s environmental health, and create a strong network of child health advocates nationwide. Proclamations are public demonstrations of support from leaders that acknowledge a commitment to children’s access to healthy environments. Issued each year, proclamations drive progress and can advance important campaigns affecting children’s environmental health in these communities.
These acquired proclamations contribute to the positive and productive action for CEH Day itself, and for the future health of the children in these areas. We would like to thank the following communities for joining the Children’s Environmental Health Movement through granting proclamations:
Counties
And more are declaring today as CEH Day in their communities throughout the day!
By signing these proclamations, these areas have joined many other communities across the country that are committed to improving environmental conditions for children nationwide. Through collective action, we can help to ensure a healthy future for all.
